Post Office Savings - what's the level of protection?

I have some savings with the Post Office buy wanted to know whether my savings are covered by the UK financial service compansation scheme up to £35,000, or whether they're included in the Irish Depositor Guarantee up to €100,000.

There seems to be a lot of confusion and conflicting views from other commentators, hence why I wanted the money facts!

    Enzo,

According to Moneyfacts, Post Office Savings operate under the Bank of Ireland banking licence and are covered up to the first €100,000 by the Irish Depositor Compensation scheme.

Read the blog for more info!

Post Office Savings – the first €100,000 is now protected
