Are house price falls starting to stabilise?

According to the Nationwide house prices fell 1.7% in September, meaning house prices have fallen by over 12% in the last year. An annual fall of over 12% is the biggest recorded by the Nationwide's index since it began.

Nationwide also commented that house prices have now fallen for 11 consecutive months, but the monthly rate of falls during the last 3 months have been almost unchanged, which may suggest that there's some stabilisation in the pace of house price falls.
