The winners of the 2011 Business Moneyfacts Awards were announced last night at the prestigious London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square.
Over 400 industry professionals from the leading financial institutions and trade bodies gathered at a special dinner hosted by Hugh Dennis, best known for the BBC comedy Outnumbered as well as being a regular panellist on Mock the Week.
Awards were presented to those companies and brokers that have consistently offered the most competitive products, the best levels of service and shown the greatest innovation in the business and commercial finance world during the last 12 months.
Amongst the big winners on the night was Santander, which was crowned Business Bank of the Year, Best Business Current Account Provider and Best No Notice Business Deposit Account Provider.
BM Solutions picked up the award for Best Buy-to-Let Mortgage Provider, while Investec Bank (UK) came out on top as the Best Notice Business Deposit Account Provider.
"The tenth annual Business Moneyfacts Awards ceremony has recognised those providers, brokers and trade bodies that helped to make 2010 a more positive year for businesses," said Lee Tillcock, editor of Business Moneyfacts.
"The challenges for the commercial finance sector still remain and the balance between meeting regulatory mandates and increasing funding lines will provide the biggest test for the industry through the next 12 months.
"The need to continue the good work that has been started is vital and a continued commitment to quality and product choice displayed by the worthy finalists and eventual winners for these awards is of paramount importance."
