Barclaycard has stormed ahead in the balance transfer market, with a new card that has a 0% interest period of 24 months.

The Platinum Extended Balance Transfer Card Visa's 0% period has been increased from 20 months to 24 months, with the fee reduced from 3.20% of the balance to 2.80%.

Whilst the major appeal of this card is the 24 month balance transfer, there is also a three month 0% interest rate on purchases.

However, more competitive APRs can be found on the market.
