This December customers may have opted for online shopping for a more hassle free Christmas. Entertainment gifts such as books, CD's and DVD's are a popular stocking filler but many shoppers may not be aware of potential rewards for their loyalty when shopping with specific online retailers.

Here is a selection of credit cards which offer rewards if you use them to make purchases online.

Amazon.co.uk Credit Card MasterCard

  • A well known brand for online shopping, Amazon.co.uk offer a Credit Card MasterCard.
  • The card has an interest free introductory deal on purchases of £300 or more for 13 months.
  • A rate of 16.9pc APR applies for purchases and 27.9pc pa for cash advances.
  • Customers can earn 2 loyalty points' for every £1 spent at Amazon.co.uk and 1 loyalty point for every £1 spent elsewhere.
  • For every 1,000 Amazon.co.uk loyalty points a £10 gift certificate will be emailed for future Amazon.co.uk purchases.
  • A £5 gift voucher will be issued upon opening.
  • Applicants must be aged 18 or over and can apply online.

Capital One Click Card MasterCard

  • The Click Card from Capital One offers customers exclusive online discounts with various online stores.
  • A rate of 9.9pc APR applies for purchases and 9.94pc pa for cash advances.
  • Customers will have access to eXtras plus, offering discounts on an unlimited basis for six months with selected online retailers such as: 20% off and free delivery with Tedbaker.com, 25% off Travelpack.com, 30% off Zavvi.com, 50% off viagogo.co.uk with new discounts becoming available every three months.
  • Applicants must be aged 21 or over and can apply online.

Play.com Visa

  • A familiar website for entertainment gifts, the Play.com Visa has an interest free introductory deal on purchases for 9 months and 6 months for balance transfers.
  • A rate of 16.9pc APR applies for purchases and 27.9pc pa for cash advances.
  • Customers can earn 2 PlayPoints for every £1 spent at Play.com and 1 PlayPoint for every £1 spent elsewhere.
  • 1,500 bonus Play Points will be given if £150 is spent on the card within 90 days which redeems into a £15 voucher.
  • Applicants must be aged 18 or over and can apply online.
