Knowing what type of ISA to invest in can be just as important as looking for the best rate of interest, with many accounts including introductory bonuses designed to boost the initial rate over a twelve month period.
Currently, seven out of the top ten cash ISA rates have bonuses attached to them, with many bonuses accounting for a large portion of the overall rate
Whilst these types of accounts can be initially very appealing, rates will more often than not revert to a much lower return once the bonus expires. Always make a note of when your bonus is due to run out, to give yourself plenty of time to consider your savings options.
