Since their launch in 1999, Individual Savings Accounts, or ISAs as they are commonly known, have proved to be one of the most popular ways to save money.

Available on either a fixed or variable basis, savers with ISA accounts do not have to pay any tax whatsoever on any interest gained.

The official ISA season may still be a few weeks away; however, a number of competitive variable rates are emerging into the market available to savers with a variety of savings needs.
