Loughborough BS has launched a new discounted variable rate mortgage.

The product offers a rate of 2.69% for two years (2.30% discount), a maximum loan-to-value of 80% and a fee of £495.

The deal is currently priced the lowest in this sector, where rates reach as high as 5.68%.

There is no incentive package available, but for a considerable number of customers this will be easily outweighed by the low product fee.

Four out of five Moneyfacts stars have been awarded.
