Furness BS has lit up the mortgage market with an excellent new discounted mortgage.

The New Discounted Variable Rate Mortgage offers a rate of 4.99% for three years (discount 0.45%) and a maximum loan-to-value of 90%. There is no fee to pay and an incentive of £250 rebate for house purchase.

Remortgagors are offered free valuation (maximum £335) and free legal fees in England and Wales or £150 towards legal fees in Scotland.

Overall this is an excellent package which sees this product entering the Moneyfacts Best Buys.
