first direct has increased its variable tracker rate by 0.10%.

Offering a rate of 3.39% (BBR + 2.89%) to borrowers with deposits of 25% or more,

this product has a reasonable upfront arrangement fee of £499 and the incentive of free legal fees for remortgage customers.

There is also the flexibility to make overpayments.
