Norwich & Peterborough BS has launched a new fixed rate mortgage that should tempt potential homebuyers.

The mortgage offers a rate of 4.19% for three years and a maximum loan-to-value of 85%.

The rate is comparable with other lender's maximum 80% LTV mortgages, yet it is available up to 85%, leaving many other lenders lagging behind.

For an additional 0.40% on the pay rate (4.59% for three years), homebuyers can get free valuations and a £200 rebate, or free legal fees on remortgages.

Four out of five Moneyfacts stars have been awarded.
