Anglo Irish gives offshore savers new options

Category: Offshore savings
Date: 7/16/2010

Anglo Irish Bank Corporation (International) has given savers an excellent offshore option in which to stash their cash.

It has launched three new no notice accounts which all pay market leading rates.

Sterling Privilege Demand and Euro Privilege Demand both pay 2.90% yearly, while US Dollar Privilege Demand pays 2.50%.

All are straightforward no notice accounts with the Sterling option offering some free CHAPS payments.

The minimum investment into an account is 5K of the relevant currency.

The relatively low maximum investment for offshore accounts of 250K may be the only factor limiting their appeal.

Sure to be welcomed with open arms by offshore investors who have seen their options contract of late, these accounts earn the maximum five out of five Moneyfacts stars.
