Friends Provident International (FPI) announced today the launch of its new web-based portfolio planning tool, Dynamic Portfolio Planner international (DPPi).

DPPi is an innovative new solution that improves the process of portfolio construction and is specially tailored to the offshore market place. It enables the user to build a robust investment strategy backed by rigorous statistical research at the touch of a button using web-based technology.

DPPi offers a host of features to help make the task of portfolio construction far more efficient for advisers:

  • Sophisticated attitudinal and behavioural questionnaires to more accurately assess a client's investment risk tolerance
  • Modelling of a wide range of recognised global asset classes
  • The ability to construct efficient asset allocation strategies with different investment perspectives including Asian, European, UK and Global models
  • Asset modelling includes research input from leading fund management houses
  • Goal forecasting can be viewed in a choice of currencies, US Dollars, Hong Kong Dollars, Sterling and Euros
  • Comprehensive fund search facility from FPI mirror funds and the direct market including quartile rankings, risk, regulator authorisation
  • Monthly asset allocation updates for funds, provided by Lipper
  • Morningstar Fund Star Ratings
  • Professional Financial Plans in a choice of languages to present to clients

Jim Henning, manager, funds marketing and research commented:

"The introduction of DPPi breaks new ground in the offshore market in a number of key areas. The ability to tailor investment strategies for differing investment perspectives has been designed to give advisers the flexibility to meet the needs of a wide range of overseas investors.

"Building on our expertise in the UK, we are keen to offer powerful asset allocation and risk profiling capabilities offshore, but without the UK centricity. Offering access to multi-language report generation demonstrates this clearly."

DPPi is exclusive to FPI and is available to advisers who are registered with FPI's secure Extranet site.
