Anglo Irish Bank Corporation has announced that it is to increase the rate of its 12 Month Privilege Fixed Income offshore account by 0.20%.

The increase is good news for offshore investors looking to supplement their income and, paying a market leading rate of 4.20%, the product should prove popular.

Clients will to be clear on how much they can commit as there is no flexibility for withdrawals and additions can only be made at the manager's discretion.

The product has been awarded four out of five Moneyfacts stars.
