Alliance & Leicester has withdrawn and replaced its 2 year fixed rate ISA, retaining its place as one of the market leaders.

The account matures on 1.2.12, paying a yearly rate of 3.50% on a minimum investment of £500. Early access and transfers out are subject to 120 days' loss of interest.

No additions are permitted, and transfers in are accepted at the time of account opening – a definite plus point.

The ISA has been awarded four out of five Moneyfacts stars.
