Coventry BS has unveiled a one year fixed rate bond paying the cracking rate of 3.11%.

An attractive return for a short term investment, the bond should prove very popular with savers.

Adding to its appeal is the ability to make additional investments whilst the issue remains opens or for seven days after the initial investment, whichever is longer.

However, savers must be aware that, as is the case with most fixed rate bonds, there is no flexibility for withdrawals.

Four out of five Moneyfacts stars are a well deserved reward.
