Close Brothers Savings has increased the rate on its 1 Year Select Gold Fixed Term Account by 0.05%. Now paying an improved rate of 3.40% on maturity, this deal has boosted its position in the best buy tables.

Savers can invest between £10,000 and £2 million. Further additions and early access are not permitted.

The account is available to savers aged 18 and over and can be operated by post and telephone.
