Skipton BS has re-entered the online savings market with the launch of a straightforward internet operated account.

Paying 2.00% yearly (1.90% monthly), Web Saver Issue 2 stacks up favourably against comparable products and should prove popular with savers looking for a no notice account who are happy to transact via the internet.

The rate is guaranteed to be at least 1.50% until 31 December 2011, while the monthly option will also add to its appeal.

Requiring a minimum investment of just £50, this product earns four out of five Moneyfacts stars.
