Halifax has launched a new one year ISA that offers a market leading rate of interest.

The Cash ISA Direct Reward is a no notice product that pays a rate of 2.80% on a minimum investment of only £1.

Transfers out can be made without penalty and transfers in are allowed, and the rate reverts to ISA Saver Direct (currently 0.50%) after 12 months, so a review would be required at this time.

Qualifying Halifax current account customers will have their rate boosted to 3.00%.

Four out of five Moneyfacts stars have been awarded.
