Northern Rock should turn a few heads following the launch of the latest version of its E-Saver account.

Paying 3.01% yearly (2.97% monthly), the new issue has a rate which is just shy of the market-leading no notice internet accounts currently around.

The rate does include a bonus of 1.50% for 12 months, making a review of the account's competitiveness in a year's time a must.

However, the fact that unlimited withdrawals are allowed is a definite plus.

Four out of five Moneyfacts stars are a fitting reward.
