With the end of 2011 vast approaching some savers may be looking to utilise their tax free allowance before the new tax year in April.

Whilst inflation has dampened many savers spirits, ISA allowances are due to increase next year.

With this fact in mind here is a selection of the best Cash ISAs currently on the market:

Newcastle BS - Bonus ISA (Issue 2)

  • The Bonus ISA Issue 2 pays 3.05pc, which includes a 0.95pc bonus for 12 months.
  • Interest is payable on the anniversary.
  • Savers can invest a minimum of £1 and have instant access to funds in branch, by telephone or online.
  • Two withdrawals are permitted per year, if a further withdrawal is taken then the account will close.
  • Transfers in are accepted.
  • Minimum age on opening is 16.

AA- Internet Access ISA (Issue 2)

  • The Internet ISA pays 3.05pc, which includes a 1.35pc bonus for 12 months and interest is payable on the anniversary.
  • Savers can invest a minimum of £500 and do not have to give any notice to access money.
  • The ISA can be operated online only and withdrawals can be obtained though a linked account only.
  • Transfers in are not accepted.
  • Minimum age on opening is 18.

Market Harborough BS - 2011 Brighter ISA Issue 9

  • The 2011 Brighter ISA Issue 9 pays 3.00pc, which includes a 0.75pc bonus for 12 months and interest is payable yearly.
  • Savers can invest a minimum of £5,340 and have instant access to funds in branch, by telephone or online.
  • Transfers in are not accepted.

ING Direct – Cash ISA

  • The Cash ISA Issue 2 pays a monthly rate of 2.96pc, which includes a 1.96pc bonus for 12 months.
  • Savers can invest a minimum of £1 and have instant access to funds by telephone or online.
  • Transfers in are not accepted.
  • Minimum age on opening is 18.
