Credit cards Date:
AA has amended the terms and rates on its purchase and balance transfer credit card, earning it the top accolade and a continued place on the Moneyfacts charts as a result.
Dual Credit Card MasterCard now has a longer 0% interest purchase term, which now stands at competitive 26 months, but a shorter interest-free balance transfer term of 20 months with a fee of 2.98%.
Balance transfers must be made within 91 days in order to qualify for the interest-free deal. Once the initial offers end, balance transfers will be charged at an annual rate of 18.9%, while standard purchases will be charged a new lower rate of 18.9% APR.
Borrowers must be at least 18 years old with a minimum annual income of £8,000 in order to apply. Applications can be made by phone or online. Borrowers should remember that rates are representative and dependent on their credit rating.
The extension of the 0% interest purchase term has made this card more appealing to those who are looking to spread the cost of their purchases. The interest-free balance transfer term may have been reduced, but it still offers borrowers a competitive 20 months of 0% interest transfers, which will continue to appeal to those looking to clear their credit card debts. This is an outstanding product that fully deserves the highest Moneyfacts rating.
