Credit cards Date:
Bank of Scotland has boosted the interest-free balance transfer and purchase terms for its all-round credit card, which has cemented its position in the charts and earned the top rating as a result.
The newly-named Platinum All in One MasterCard now has a 20-month 0% term for purchases and balance transfers, a competitive offering that enables it to sit comfortably in the charts. It carries an amended introductory balance transfer fee of 1.50% (after a partial refund).
Balance transfers must be made within 90 days of the card being opened in order to qualify for the interest-free deal. Once the deals expire, standard purchases will be charged at 18.9% APR while balance transfers will carry a rate of 18.95% per annum with a 3.00% fee.
Borrowers must be at least 18 years old to apply and applications must be made online. Borrowers should also remember that rates are representative and dependent on their credit history.
The extension of the interest-free purchase and balance transfer terms on this credit card has enhanced its appeal, and will be likely to attract those who are looking to both spread the cost of their borrowing and clear an existing balance. This is an outstanding product that fully deserves the highest Moneyfacts rating.
