Bank of Scotland has improved the position of its balance transfer credit card in the charts by extending its 0% interest balance transfer offer.
The renamed Platinum 38 Month Balance Transfer MasterCard has increased its interest-free balance transfer term to an attractive 38 months, which comes with an introductory balance transfer fee of 2.65%. Borrowers can also benefit from a six-month 0% interest purchase term.
Balance transfers must be made within 90 days in order to be eligible for the initial offers. Once these come to an end, balance transfers will be charged at 18.95% per annum (with a 3.00% fee), while standard purchases will be charged at 18.9% APR.
Borrowers must be at least 18 years old and apply online. Applicants should remember that rates are representative and dependent on their credit rating.
The boost to the length of the 0% interest offer for balance transfers has secured this card's place in the charts, a fact that will not go unnoticed by borrowers. Also boasting an appealing six-month interest-free term for purchases, this deal stands out as a competitive and attractive borrowing option. This is an outstanding product that fully deserves the highest Moneyfacts rating.
