Barclaycard has reduced the introductory balance transfer fee on its leading 0% interest credit card, which reinforces its position in the top-three of the Best Buy chart in its sector and sustains its top rating.
The Barclaycard Platinum Purchase and Balance Transfer Visa has had its introductory balance transfer fee reduced to 1.99%, while keeping its introductory interest-free term at 25 months for both balance transfers and purchases.
Balances must be transferred within 60 days of account opening in order to benefit from the offer. After the introductory periods have ended, balance transfers will be charged at an annual rate of 18.9% and standard purchases will be charged at 18.9% APR. Customers can benefit from an additional bonus of £20 cashback on balance transfers of at least £500 made within the first 60 days.
Borrowers must be at least 18 years old and have a minimum income of £20,000 to apply, and should remember that rates are representative and dependent on credit ratings.
By amending its introductory fee, this credit card has safeguarded its position in the charts and top Moneyfacts rating, as it offers an even more competitive deal to customers looking to secure interest-free balance transfers as well as purchases.
