HSBC has extended the 0% balance transfer period on its BT credit card to 34 months, a joint market-leading offer, as well as giving it a new lease of life with a brand new name.

The basics…

HSBC Credit Card Visa now offers an introductory 0% balance transfer period of 34 months (up from 30 months previously), along with 0% on purchases for three months.

The finer details…

This card can be applied for online by those aged 18 and over. Unlike on the previous card, new customers to the bank are also welcome to apply.

Once the introductory periods are over, the standard balance transfer and purchase rate will rise to 18.9% APR, with a fee of 3.3% charged on balance transfers.

Rates are dependent upon the applicant's credit history.

Why we like it…

HSBC has extended its 0% balance transfer period to a joint market-leading 34 months, strengthening its position in the Moneyfacts charts. The offer of three months of 0% interest on purchases is also enticing, ensuring that this competitive offer will appeal to those who are looking to spread the cost of their spending.
