Bank of Ireland UK has launched a new interest-free balance transfer and purchase credit card, earning it a coveted place in the charts thanks to its eye-catching terms.

The basics…

Matched MasterCard offers borrowers a 24-month interest-free term for both purchases and balance transfers, thereby establishing itself as the market-leader in its sector. It also comes with a competitive balance transfer fee of 2.49%.

The finer details…

After the expiration of the initial offers, balance transfers will have an annual charge of 19.94%, while standard purchases will be charged at 19.9% APR.

Borrowers must be at least 18 years old and have an annual income of at least £10,000 in order to apply. Applications can be made in branch, by post, online and by phone. Applicants should remember that rates are representative and dependent on their credit rating.

Why we like it…

This market newcomer has streaked into the spotlight thanks to its attractive terms: borrowers can benefit from a competitive 24-month interest-free period for both balance transfers and purchases, which will suit those who are looking to pay off their outstanding credit card debt and spread the cost of other purchases.
