Sainsbury's Bank has responded to activity in the balance transfer and purchase market by honing the terms on two of its credit cards. As a result, both cards have stepped up their game against market rivals.
Nectar Credit Card MasterCard now has a 0% introductory offer on purchases and balance transfers for 18 months.
The terms on the Nectar Balance Transfer Credit Card MasterCard have also been improved. The card now has a 33-month introductory 0% offer on balance transfers.
The purchase APR on the Nectar credit card and balance transfer card now stands at 18.9%.
On the Nectar credit card, the standard purchase and standard balance transfer rates have risen to 18.95% per annum, while on the balance transfer card the balance transfer fee has increased to 3%.
Both cards benefit from Nectar point rewards. Two points are earned for every £1 spent in a Sainsbury's store, while one point is earned for every £5 spent elsewhere.
Rates are dependent upon the applicant's credit history.
The Nectar credit card now has a very impressive 0% offer on purchases and transfers for 18 months, which ensures it a place in our best buy chart.
