HSBC has increased the rate of its two-year fixed mortgage by 0.05%, but despite this, it has retained its coveted place in the Moneyfacts charts thanks to its still-competitive rate and terms.
This mortgage now has a rate of 1.99% fixed until 28.2.18. It is available at a loan-to-value (LTV) of 80% and has absolutely no product fees.
All borrowers with a 20% deposit are welcome to apply for this deal. An incentive package of free valuation is available, while those looking to remortgage can also benefit from free legal fees.
Borrowers are also permitted to make overpayments of up to 20% of their mortgage payment per month, giving them some welcome repayment flexibility.
Remember, in order to secure a mortgage, credit card or personal loan you need to have a good credit rating. To find out if yours has a clean bill of health, contact a credit check provider, such as Experian Credit Expert to investigate your credit report.
This mortgage may have had a slight rate increase, but this has in no way dented its competitiveness. The rate remains highly attractive in its sector, while the complete absence of product fees and the enticing incentive package mean that initial costs can be kept down. The fact that overpayments are permitted also adds a little extra shine; in short, this is an outstanding product that fully deserves the highest Moneyfacts rating.
