A saving review from Raphaels Bank has led to a slight reduction in rates, but the six-month notice Sapphire Account has proudly held on to its position in the Moneyfacts charts.
The competitive six-month notice Sapphire account, which holds a place in the top 10 for its sector, has a yearly rate of 1.55%. Meanwhile, the 60-day version has a half-yearly rate of 1.35% and the 12-month variant has an annual rate of 1.70%.
The 60-day notice version requires an initial investment of £2,000. To make penalty-free withdrawals, 60 days' notice must always be given, although it is possible to access funds early on the loss of 60 days' interest.
The six-month and 12-month accounts both need a slightly higher investment of £5,000. However, both accounts allow one early access withdrawal of up to 10% of invested funds in every 12-month period, with any further withdrawals requiring the respective notice periods to be given.
All accounts can be managed in branch or by post. Further additions are also welcomed.
The six-month notice account still offers a beguiling rate for investors, which has earned it a continued place in the top 10 for its sector. The ability to make one early access withdrawal per year is an added bonus, and is sure to appeal to those worried about needing to access funds at short notice.
Four Moneyfacts Stars have been awarded.
