Britannia BS has launched two new short-term fixed rate ISAs and both of them head straight into the Moneyfacts best buys.

The basics…

The one-year fixed rate ISA now pays a competitive 1.71% while the two-year pays 2.05%, both on a minimum investment of the full ISA allowance of £15,000.

The finer details…

The accounts can be opened in branch, by telephone and online but must then be operated in branch or by post.

Transfers in of other cash ISAs are allowed but no further additions are permitted. Withdrawals and earlier access to funds is possible on the loss of 180 days' interest.

Why we like them…

These ISAs offer competitive rates for their terms and with transfers in and earlier access allowed they make competitive short-term accounts.

Four Moneyfacts Stars have been awarded.
