Charter’s notice account still competes

Charter Savings Bank has reduced the rate on its notice savings account by 0.09%, but despite this, it has retained its position in the Best Buy chart for its sector, and earned a high rating.

The basics…

The 120 Day Notice Issue 12 now pays a variable rate of 1.26% on its anniversary. A monthly version paying a slightly reduced rate is also available.

The finer details…

This online-only account requires a minimum investment of £1,000. It allows additions of at least £1, while withdrawals require the expected 120 days' notice, with no earlier access possible. Access must furthermore be made via a nominated current account.

Why we like it…

The rate on this deal is still competitive, which is why it has easily held on to its place in the Best Buys, as well as its high rating.

Moneyfacts rating: Excellent
