krbs has amended rates on its easy access and two-year fixed savings accounts.

The basics…

The Easy Access Issue 7 now pays 1.45% yearly (1.44% monthly), while the 2 Year Fixed Rate Bond Issue 18 pays 2.20% yearly (2.18% monthly).

The finer details…

The easy access account can be opened with a minimum investment of £1,000 and further additions are allowed. It can be opened and operated in branch, by post and online.

The two year bond also requires a minimum of £1,000 to open, however no further additions are allowed but earlier access to funds is permitted on 180 days' loss of interest. This account can be opened in branch, by post and online but must then be operated in branch or by post.

Why we like them…

Despite small reductions, both krbs' savings accounts remain in the Moneyfacts best buys, being competitive within their sector.

Four Moneyfacts Stars have been awarded.
