Leeds Building Society has released a competitive new five-year fixed rate ISA, which has marched straight into the top 10 for its terms.
5 Year Fixed Rate ISA Issue 41 has a top-10 rate of 2.25% yearly, fixed until 2.2.20. The first interest payment will be made on 2.2.16.
The finer details…
This account can be opened and operated in branch and by post with an initial deposit of just £100.
Rather unusually for a fixed rate account, savers are able to make further additions while the issue remains open. Transfers in of other cash ISAs are also welcome, and it is possible to withdraw up to 25% of the initial investment penalty-free, too. However, further withdrawals or transfers out will incur a 365-day loss of interest penalty.
Savers should also note that this account has a minimum operating balance of £100.
Why we like it…
This account has an attractive rate, which is sure to catch the eye of eager investors. There is also a great deal of flexibility in terms of accessing and adding funds to the account, something that is bound to appeal to savers looking for a great rate with the ability to unlock funds if necessary.
