Charter Savings Bank has reduced the rate paid on its 95-day notice account, but despite this, it has retained a solid position in the Moneyfacts charts. In addition, a new 100-day notice account has been launched, which has also secured itself an envied chart position.
95 Day Notice Issue 7 now pays a highly competitive variable rate of 1.75% yearly (1.74% monthly) while its 100-day counterpart (Issue 1) pays an equally competitive 1.85% yearly (1.83% monthly), both of which are top rates.
These accounts must be opened and operated online with an initial investment of at least £1,000. Savers should note that access is via a nominated account.
Savers are welcome to make additional deposits at any time and an unlimited number of withdrawals can be made. However, early access is not possible, so savers must ensure that they plan their withdrawals in order to abide by the relevant notice period.
Both of these accounts stand out as market-leaders for their respective terms, which is sure to attract the interest of savers. Their monthly interest options add an extra degree of flexibility, and when combined with their unlimited additions and withdrawals, these accounts are likely to appeal.
