Ecology Building Society has launched a competitive 90-day notice account, earning it a place in the Moneyfacts charts for its attractive terms.
90 Day Notice pays 1.15% to 1.50% yearly depending on the amount invested (1.15% on a £500 investment, 1.30% on £5,000 and 1.50% on £10,000), enabling it to enter the top 10 of its sector.
This postal-operated account requires an initial investment of at least £500 up to a maximum of £20,000.
Further additions can be made at any time provided at least £25 is paid in on each occasion. Unlimited withdrawals of at least £250 are also permitted, but early access to funds is not possible with 90 days' notice always having to be served.
This new notice account is sure to make savers prick up their ears. The rates, although tiered, are competitive and promise a decent return on any investment. There is also a great deal of flexibility in making further additions and withdrawals, provided the minimum limits are observed. However, savers must be aware that notice will need to be served on all withdrawals and that the maximum investment is only £20,000.
