Secure Trust Bank has released a new two-year fixed rate bond that has marched straight into the Moneyfacts charts.

The basics…

Fixed Rate Bond Two Year Term (Series 7) has a top 10 rate of 2.11% per annum until 31.10.16.

The finer details…

This bond requires a minimum investment of £1,000 and can be conveniently opened online, and then managed by post and phone.

Like many fixed rate bonds, early access to funds is not permitted, although further additions can be made while the issue is open.

For those looking to invest business savings, a business version of the account is also available.

Why we like it…

This new offering has an attractive rate which secures it a place among the market-leaders for its sector. As a result, this bond is likely to appeal to individual savers and business owners who are able to lock £1,000 away for the full term.

Four Moneyfacts Stars have been awarded.
