Charter Savings Bank has reduced the rates paid on selected notice accounts; however, its 95 and 100-day deals have kept their chart places and have been joined by a new, highly competitive, 120-day version.
95 Day Notice Issue 8 now pays a variable rate of 1.65% yearly (1.64% monthly) while its 100-day counterpart (Issue 2) pays a yearly rate of 1.70% (1.69% monthly), both of which remain the market-leading rates in their respective sectors. The new 120-day variant (Issue 7) pays a competitive 1.80% yearly (1.79% monthly), which enables it to sit just behind its sector's top account.
These accounts must all be opened and operated online with an initial investment of at least £1,000. Savers should note that access is via a nominated account.
Additional deposits are welcome at any time and there are absolutely no restrictions on withdrawals, other than the required notice period of 95, 100 or 120 days must be given beforehand.
All of these accounts sit towards the top of their respective sectors, which enables them to stand out from their competitors. They also offer a high level of flexibility, with monthly interest options and unlimited additions and withdrawals. Provided savers are happy to give notice to access their funds, these accounts could easily suit a wide range of internet investors.
