Charter Savings Bank has increased the rate paid on its 95-day notice account by 0.20%, making it the new market-leader of its term. Meanwhile, a new 180-day notice deal has been introduced, which has gone straight to the top of the charts thanks to its highly competitive terms.
95 Day Notice Issue 4 now pays a variable rate of 1.85% yearly (1.83% monthly), while its 180-day counterpart (Issue 1) pays 2.00% yearly (1.98% monthly), both of which are market-leading rates for their respective terms.
Both accounts must be opened and operated online with an initial investment of at least £1,000. Savers should note that access is via a nominated account.
Additional deposits can be made at any time and an unlimited number of penalty-free withdrawals can be made, provided the respective notice periods are observed. Early access is not possible with either account, so savers must ensure that they plan their withdrawals carefully.
These two deals are riding high in the charts – and with good reason. Both offer highly competitive rates and give savers the option to secure a regular income if desired. The flexibility of unlimited withdrawals (provided the notice periods are observed) and additional deposits will also be a draw, making these great choices for the organised saver.
