Norwich and Peterborough Building Society has increased rates on its range of fixed-rate bonds by 0.20%.

The basics…

The 18 Month Fixed Rate Bond now pays 2.00% yearly (1.98 monthly), while the three-year fix pays 2.20% yearly (2.18% monthly).

The finer details…

As with most bonds, no withdrawals or further additions are allowed. The bonds must be opened online only with a minimum investment of £1,000. Online versions of the accounts are available.

Why we like them…

N&P's review of their fixed-rate accounts sees their 18-month bond sitting comfortably in the Moneyfacts best buys, while the three-year product offers an attractive rate to those that don't mind locking their money away.

Four Moneyfacts Stars have been awarded.
