OakNorth Bank has amended the rates on its 12 and 15-month fixed bonds by up to 0.16%, which has made both competitive enough to enter the Best Buy charts for their sector and earn a high Moneyfacts rating.

The basics…

The 12-month Fixed Term Deposit boasts a top-10 rate of 1.87%, while the 15-month equivalent pays 1.88%, with both paying on maturity and compounded annually.

The finer details…

These online-only accounts require a minimum investment of £1,000. They don't allow additions, withdrawals or other early access, so savers should make sure they are happy to set their funds aside for the entirety of their chosen term.

Why we like them…

The competitive rates on these bonds are enough to earn them their place in the Best Buys as well as a high rating.

Moneyfacts rating: Excellent
