Post Office has reviewed its savings offerings and amended rates by up to 0.20%, allowing two of its ISAs to retain their places among the top 10 of their respective sectors.
Premier Cash ISA Issue 8 now has a rival-beating rate of 1.50% yearly, including a 0.85% bonus for 18 months, retaining its position among the best buys.
Meanwhile, the one-year Fixed Rate Cash ISA Issue 14 now pays a competitive 1.55% per annum and its two-year equivalent has a yearly rate of 1.95%, allowing both to remain on the Moneyfacts charts.
Premier Cash ISA can be opened in branch and by post with an initial deposit of at least £100. It can then be managed by post and phone. Two withdrawals can be made per cash year, after which the account will be closed or transferred. Further additions (which can also be made in branch) are welcomed and transfers in are also permitted. No penalty is applied for transfers out of this account.
Fixed Rate Cash ISA requires an opening deposit of £500. It can be opened by branch or post and then managed by post or phone. Transfers in are allowed, although transfers away will result in a 90-day loss of interest penalty. Further additions are not permitted while early access will result in closure of the account a loss of 90 days' interest.
These ISAs offer eager savers the promise of decent returns, with both holding top-10 rates. Neither requires large opening deposits, and both allow transfers in of cash and stocks & shares ISAs, which is sure to appeal to investors.
