Marsden Building Society has relaunched its competitive fixed rate regular saver, earning an 'excellent' rating as a result.
Branch Regular Saver (Issue 21) pays an attractive variable rate of 2.05% on maturity (31.10.16).
This account must be opened and operated in branch with an initial investment of at least £500. Savers should note that a Members Reward Maturity account will be automatically set up when an account is opened.
A deposit of £10 up to £250 can be made each month, but there are no penalties for missing payments. The amount can also be amended up or down, giving savers some additional flexibility. Further additions are also possible, provided they do not exceed the maximum monthly investment limit. Withdrawals, however, are not permitted, although it is possible to access funds early upon closure of the account.
Those looking to get into the saving habit are likely to be intrigued by this account's relaunch. It offers savers an enticing rate and a great deal of flexibility, with no penalties for missed payments and the opportunity to make further additions and amend the size of deposits. The fact that it also has the potential for early access cements it as a great all-rounder.
