Shawbrook Bank has reduced the rates of selected savings accounts, but its 120-day notice deal has kept a tight grip on its place in the Moneyfacts charts.
120 Day Notice Personal Savings Issue 24 now has a competitive rate of 1.60% per annum, allowing it to remain among the top 10 of its sector.
This account can be opened by post or online with an initial deposit of at least £1,000. It can then be managed by either method as well as by phone.
Further additions are permitted while the issue remains open and it is also possible to make unlimited penalty-free withdrawals, subject to the required notice period. However, early access is not allowed, so 120 days' notice must always be given in order to access funds.
This account has retained its competitive spirit despite the rate reduction. As a result, it sits firmly within the top 10 of its sector, something that is sure to encourage eager savers. The option to make further additions and unlimited withdrawals adds to the appeal, although savers must note that early access is not possible.
Four Moneyfacts Stars have been awarded.
