Yorkshire Building Society has created three one-year saving accounts, one of which has proven itself to be a market leader in the Moneyfacts charts.
Fixed Rate Bond and Fixed Rate e-Bond boast rates of 2.00% yearly (1.98% monthly) to 31.8.15. Meanwhile, Fixed Rate ISA also pays this rate, which makes it a market-leading product when compared with similar accounts.
The fixed rate bonds both require a deposit of £1,000. The e-bond can only be opened and operated online, while the other account can be opened and operated in branch and by post. Neither account allows early access, but further additions are permitted while the issue remains open.
The ISA needs an investment of just £100 and can be opened and operated in branch and by post. It's possible to make further additions, and transfers in of cash and stocks & shares ISAs are welcomed. This ISA also benefits from the option of early access, although this is subject to closure of the account and the loss of 60 days' interest.
The ISA possesses an attractive rate, which has seen it leap-frog competitors into a market-leading position. The option of early access, despite being subject to a 60-day loss of interest, is a definite bonus and will appeal to consumers who are unsure about locking their money away.
