TopCashback would like to thank.....

“Being named Cashback Site of the Year four times in the last five years is a huge achievement, and one we are incredibly proud of.

At TopCashback, we are committed to fair play – to looking after our members and striking the right balance of fairness for them, our team and the brands we work with. A huge part of this ensures we offer the most generous cashback rates in the market for our members.

We're delighted that this award demonstrates that the experts and public have recognised this. It’s a great start to our 15th anniversary year!”

More about TopCashback

"TopCashback exists to save its members as much money as possible on their everyday spending. From the weekly food shop, insurances and energy suppliers to holidays, take-aways and clothes, it offers the most generous cashback rates and deals in the UK.

Established in 2005 by founders Mike and Olly, TopCashback now has over 11 million members and saves them over £100 million every year in the UK alone. On average, members can save around £325 a year by shopping online through TopCashback.

Easy to use

It’s really easy to use TopCashback. Members can look for one of the 5,000 brands onsite to shop with whether that be eBay, Just Eat, ASOS or Booking.com. Once they’ve selected a retailer and clicked through to its TopCashback page, they will be able to view all the current cashback offers. To start shopping, members just need to click on the pink Get Cashback button, they’ll be diverted to the retailer website. From there, members simply need to shop as normal and TopCashback will take care of the rest. The cashback will show in the member’s account as soon as it’s been confirmed and then will be payable as soon as the retailer pays it to TopCashback.

Free to join

It’s free to join TopCashback; new members are signed up to the Plus Membership 30-day trial, giving them access to the higher cashback rates and additional benefits and features. At the end of the trial, members have the option of staying on the Plus Account (it has an annual £5 fee retained from members earning) or moving to the Classic Account (totally free to use).

On top of the market-leading cashback rates and money-saving deals, TopCashback also has comparison tools called TopCashback Compare, which allow members to compare broadband or insurance deals. TopCashback Compare enables members to find the cheapest, and most appropriate products while also allowing them to earn some of their money back.

In-store cashback too

TopCashback doesn’t believe members should miss out on great money-saving deals just because they chose to spend in-store rather than online. It offers members the option of earning cashback when shopping in-store too. Its On-Card offer allows members to shop instore at selected retailers and earn cashback on their registered bank or credit card.

How does TopCashback really work?

This may all sound very well and good, but questions normally arise like “How does it really work? How does TopCashback make money?” and the answers are actually quite simple. Brands pay sites like TopCashback, Google or comparison sites a commission for driving sales to their site. Instead of keeping this money, which never seemed particularly fair to our founders, TopCashback passes it back to its members as cashback. TopCashback is a 100% cashback site so all the commission it would have earned for driving a member’s sale is given back to the member. Instead, TopCashback earns money from the sponsored adverts and promotions featured on the site.

TopCashback believes in more than just making a profit – it prioritises forming lasting relationships with members, ensuring everything it does has their best interests at heart. This sentiment is encapsulated by what it calls its Fair Play philosophy.

“Do as you would be done by”.

- Charles Kingsley

It’s an approach at the heart of its business. It means in any given situation, it adopts a bird’s-eye view and thinks about what the fairest thing would be to do by everyone concerned – members, the team, and the brands it works with. It’s about looking after members and striking the right balance of fairness for everyone.

Over the last 15 years, Fair Play has ensured the company has grown at a sustainable rate. Outside of the UK, the company operates in the US, China, India, Russia and Germany. It has offices in the US, India and three in the UK housing over 250 employees.

Helping people has always been important to the team at TopCashback. It’s the nature of the business. It’s also a key part of fairness. So, although it may sound cliche or corny, TopCashback tries to have a positive impact on the community.

From being a Living Wage employer, the impact investing it is committed to, and numerous charity initiatives, TopCashback tries to do its part to make a better world for all.  This ethos seems to also be shared by our members, as over the years they have donated hundreds of thousands of pounds of their cashback to charity".
