HSBC has launched a switching offer today that will see consumers looking to start the new year with a cash boost earning £150 simply by switching to a HSBC current account.

The £150 cashback offer is available to new customers switching to a HSBC Advance or Premier current account using the Current Account Switch Service (CASS). Consumers must also pay in at least £1,500 into the account within the first 60 days and set up a minimum of two direct debits/standing orders (other terms and conditions may apply).

Commenting on the new switching offer, Tom Wolfenden, head of Retail Banking at HSBC UK, said: “The new year is a great time to reflect on the previous year, whilst also looking ahead to the next. We can recalibrate our thoughts, reset our priorities and make resolutions. Very many peoples’ finances will have changed in some way over the last year or so, and reviewing your finances could be a good way to spend a couple of hours over Christmas and New Year. It could even make you £150 better off if you switch your current account to our HSBC Advance or Premier current accounts. Switching a current account is easy and our app and our smart money tools will help you keep an eye on your spending and stay on top of your finances during the new year.”
