Are you fed up with slow broadband speeds, bad service or expensive bills? Well, you're not alone. According to research by broadband supplier Hyperoptic, the vast majority of Brits are less than impressed with their broadband service.

Unhappy customers

The research found that only one quarter (24%) of those surveyed professed themselves to be happy with their current service, meaning that most of those questioned were unhappy customers. Interestingly, the research also found that there was a great deal of discontent about internet providers in general, with 31% saying that they believed broadband problems to be endemic with all suppliers as bad as each other.

But it doesn't have to be this way! Not all providers offer the same bad levels of service, and by switching to a new provider, you could save yourself a lot of money as well as get yourself the broadband speeds and service you expect.

Get wised up

Shockingly, Hyperoptic's survey found that 59% of respondents had no idea when their broadband contract was up for renewal, which could mean that many broadband users are sleepwalking into bad deals. The research also highlighted that many survey respondents were possibly paying for services that they didn't use or value.

For instance, 43% of those questioned claimed that they never use their landline, while another 41% said that they would be happy to forgo triple or quad play (where a broadband connection covers internet, television use, telephones and mobiles) for a reliable broadband service, so it makes sense to find a deal that omits these services so you don't end up paying for something that you won't appreciate.
