Customers who are able to pay off their credit debt in full and on time each month, may be interested in credit cards that offer cashback. Cashback cards award customers for making purchases on their credit card and can prove particularly useful for customers looking to cut costs each month. Here is a selection of some of the best cashback cards at present.

American Express – Platinum Cashback Card

The Platinum Cashback Card pays:

  • 5% on purchases up to £2,000 for the first three months, after-which the structure is as follows: Purchases up to £3,500 will receive 0.50% cashback; between £3,501 and £7,500, 1.00% and £7,501 and above, 1.25%.
  • The card charges a typical APR of 19.9%. 0% is charged on purchases for the first six months.
  • No annual fee is payable with this card.
  • Customers must be aged 18 and over and earn a minimum of £30,000 per annum.

Bank of Ireland UK – Moneyback Gold Mastercard

Cashback of:

  • 0.50% is paid on purchases valued up to £15,000 a year.
  • This card charges a typical APR of 17.9%.
  • 0% is offered on balance transfers for the first six months and the first 3 months for purchases.
  • The card is available to customers aged 18 and over earning a minimum of £15,000.

Capital One Bank World Mastercard

This card pays:

  • 1% cashback on all purchases, plus a bonus credit of £10 is paid each January.
  • The card charges a typical rate of 12.9% APR and has an annual fee of £18.
  • Customers must be aged 21 and over and have a minimum income of £20,000 a year.
