The Moneyfacts 2021 Five and Four Star Ratings for the home insurance and home emergency cover sectors have been revealed, making it easier for consumers looking to find the best deals within these sectors to find and compare products.

When deciding which products should be given a Five or Four Star Rating, each year the team at Moneyfacts impartially assesses thousands of products across 16 categories, from business and personal finance products to insurance and investment products. As part of the extensive analysis more than 2,000 data fields are used to award the Star Ratings.

It is this thorough analysis that makes the Moneyfacts Star Ratings trusted by consumers and over three-quarters (77%) of consumers agree that an independent Star Rating is of importance when taking out a financial services product.

When looking at deals within the home insurance sector, the team at Moneyfacts analysed over 100 fields of information per individual product. For home emergency cover, the Annual Star Ratings were derived from over 40 fields of information per individual product.
